Listen to this - Well.. I said my EP would be out in February... but it is March 2. So obviously that didn't happen, but now it did and you can buy it and listen to it

Man, when the big chorus hits on Coward--awesome! (Also, "At the meeting of the secret asshole club" is just a magnificent lyric.)
I'm fairly certain we've heard an earlier iteration of Time Line. I don't remember the previous arrangement, but I love how this turned out. I'm a big fan of anything with a 6/8 feel. I love the wailing quality of the chorus vocal. And the arpeggiated synth thing that's almost buried in the mix toward the end is so cool!
That melody over those kinds of changes in Skies is really lovely--it's the kind of thing I wish I could think of in my own writing. It's got a really nostalgic quality to it somehow. Just great!
The melody on Didn't Say sits perfectly, and I love the note choice the first time you hit "say" (kinda wish you had gone back there at least once more). Love the weird little "yeah, yeah, yeah" backing vocal! The guitar solo section is genius! Takes it to a whole new place and becomes so much more than just a guitar solo, then it slides seamlessly back into the chorus. Love it!
Again with the killer melody over grownup changes on Perimetry--there's some Bacharach in there. And the stripped-down vibe with the white noise is just right.
The bass line on Rubbernecker totally had my head bobbing. Love that nasty guitar tone too. And the e-piano sounds groovy.
Love your stuff, man!
Side note: I thought the drums sounded really good throughout. I record my drums pretty much the same way (though I use a Simmons kit). I think you get yours sitting in the mix better than I do.

Wow, thanks for the listen and the detailed review!

As for the drums - I can't take credit for much mix-wise, the guy that did the mixing (Matt Gerhard) really knew what he was doing with that stuff - I sent him the unaffected individual output tracks (kick, snare, etc) and he took it from there.

Thanks again!
