What are your favourite foreign-language films?

We watched Harry Potter Part 1 in Cherman once, it worked pretty well, but for me, Clive, Tampopo has to be there or thereabouts

I used to watch a lot more foreign films when I was in college. My wife has a very low threshold for subtitles so I don’t see as many now.

If you really get wrapped up in the acting, sometimes you know what theyre saying without knowing the language or if you look away from the subtitles.

I know that I recommended films like Delicatessen, Ran, and Le Pacte des Loups to some friends forgetting if they’re cool with subtitles or not. :lmbo:

Been a while since I watched a foreign film with subtitles. I think the last one was Pan's Labyrinth. I enjoyed it, worth a watch if you haven't seen it.

And if anyone says “I’m Norwegian and my favourite foreign-language film is Die Hard 2: Die Harder”, then that forumite gets a free ticket with Yippee-Ki-Yay Airlines. One way, of course. Should go without saying.
Hey, I resemble that remark!

Well, since I'm just about fluent in English, I'm gonna pick Das Boot as a foreign language film I've been a fan of for years and years. A very close runner-up is Cinema Paradiso, my dad's favorite film, and coming in third would be Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
