Question: What do you take to a gig these days?

the charvel was my first "real" guitar and my third guitar i ever owned (first was the R-ondo strat-type, and second was a BC Rich platinum series strat-type that my dad and i modded). it's an incredibly well put-together guitar. totally stripped down - one volume knob, one pickup, blocked trem. i played half the show on the model 1 and the other half on the Custom. it definitely holds its own.

So I know that most of you have seen this beast but this modified Charvel Model 2 has never ever failed me. When all other guitars have not come through in the studio this monster has. There was something magical happening with these pieces back in the day.

Sure... They were cheap but they sound and play great!

I love this piece and I would and will never part with it...

I had a white model 2 that I bought in 1987. Wish i still had it.

I have been schlepping 3 guitars (12 String Acoustic, Fender Telecaster, Les Paul) My analog pedal board, My direct box and bag o' cables, and my Marshall DSL. It was simpler using the POD HD500, but I like the analog tone better.

A white model 1 I bought off ebay for $110 was my main guitar for years in a metal band. I put a JB in it, made some cosmetic upgrades, and kept it set up low and tight and it's been my most reliable guitar. Always sounds and plays great for that kind of music. I should take it out and let it breathe some.

I got asked to put together a Stage Plot for Saturday's gig at the Regent Theater in Arlington, MA and this is what I came up with. Definitely relevant to this thread.

That looks way better than the stick figures I drew out our stage plot for Del Mar.

That program is not bad at all huh?

Once you have it all set up it is all easy to move around, number and label. That for posting a link to the software. If I had any brain left I would have done that

Its pretty killer. I did mine with the trial version too. If I thought I'd have to change things around or do them for a variety of settings I'd buy the full version since its so handy.

I completely agree. I have been doing mine in Photoshop for a long time and this program just makes it easier. I am going to drop the cash for the full version I think.
