I use SoundCloud, but it adds a lot of artifacts into the recording. A few of my tunes have pops and clicks throughout the track. It's free, so I'm not going to complain, but it would be cool if they addressed that some time. A revamped version is in beta at the moment, so we'll see.
 
I have 2 versions in mind as well. Might do both. Drastically different from each other. This is fun. :grin:

No. I have the acoustic and vocals learned. I can fire up a midi track of the song, keeping the string midi and applying a vst instrument to it. Then add my own piano, electric guitar, vocals, bass, and acoustic.

For what it's worth, mine is sounding pretty damned bombastic. Power chords and harmony guitars ala 1988 FTMFW!
 
I had a bit of a marathon session yesterday, and got the bulk of it done. My voice sounds exactly like the record! LOL, actually I used the vocal sample from the song - some may call it cheating, but I figured what the hell, I arranged everything else. At the moment I have left out the signature synth line which runs throughout the tune, since it would almost feel like parody if I were to include it. We'll see what happens though, still plenty of time to change my mind.
 
Ok, i know what im going to do. Haven't started recording yet, but i have worked out my plan.
