You Can’t Kill Rock ‘N’ Roll

I never knew they did. Also, I would think the obvious choice would of been Locomotive Breath.
Oh yes. They did.
In Motorik 's defense, they metal'd the fuck out of it.

Aqua Lung, Cross-eyed Mary, Locomotive Breath, Thick As A Brick. Why are all of Jethro Tull's songs about getting laid?

Ian Anderson returned the favor by covering an Iron Maiden song.

*I guess it's mostly Bruce.

I'm glad I got to see so many concerts growing up.

They were discussing this on the morning radio during my commute last week. Outside of a few arena pop tours (e.g. Taylor Swift, Beyonce, etc), the majority of touring revenue was from bands like you mentioned. For my money, I have no interest in shelling out a few hundred bucks to see someone way past their prime in a giant stadium from the nosebleed seats when there are so many new artists that I can see in intimate venues for $60 or less, typically.

The Eagles residence at the Vegas Sphere, for instance, start at $450 for side stage and go to over $3,000 for center stage...and Glenn Frey isn't even part of the band because he's passed on. I don't get it, but to each their own I suppose.
I did shell out $140 to see Hagar, Satriani, Anthony and Bonham at the Forum. I have never seen any of these artists and it was a first to enjoy a concert in the forum. The price I paid was reasonable considering that I rarely go to concerts anymore. FWIW, it was a great show.

First, I am amazed that anyone is buying tickets to see Linkin Park in 2025. I mean anyone other than immediate family members.
Second, my ticket purchase limit is somewhere between 80-100 bucks, and I'm much happier in the 40-60 dollar range. I've been able to see Son Volt, Billy Bragg, Superchunk, Patti Smith, and Pulp among others in recent years. I'm happy with that. I think the Bob Dylan tickets were a bit more (they were north of 100), but my wife bought those. I'm not shelling out 200 or 300 or whatever to see anyone in their prime or past their prime; it's just not worth it to me.
