Question: If you bought a set of dumbbells and some of the metal flaked off and sliced your buttcheeks, but you read the FAQ and it warned that it could happen,

do you think you'd still have grounds to demand a refund? I still have the receipt and everything but to be fair it did say on the website that the metal paint on the dumbbells could "flake off and easily slice through your butt cheeks". But who reads those things anyways. Now my luscious butt cheeks have been shred to ribbons and I'm out forty bucks.

I thought getting "shredded" was the point of weights...

"Shredding means losing body fat while keeping as much muscle as possible, unlike general weight loss which can burn away both fat and muscle. [1]

Core Principles
  • Calorie Deficit: Eat 500 to 700 calories below your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) to lose about 0.5% to 1% of your body weight per week. [1, 2]
High Protein Intake: Consume about 1.6 to 2.4 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight (or roughly 1 gram per pound) to protect your muscles. [1, 2]

Resistance Training: Lift weights 3 to 5 times per week using compound exercises (like squats, deadlifts, and bench presses) to signal your body to keep muscle. [1, 2]

I wouldn't seek compensation for your shredded buttocks.
Then again, neither did I when I dropped a 55lb dumbell at the gym dye to a faulty rack, squashed my big toe like a grape, and calmly answered the guy next to me, 'yes, it landed on me" , as I left the gym leaving a trail of blood. Do what I did. Get a big bottle of hydrogen peroxide and pour some on the wound every few hours.

Idea for a song title?

Yes

So now we have @smurfco scaring all of the noobs?

Almost as bad as the HOA getting a complaint about me checking the mail in my Winnie the Pooh pajamas.

Who are they to say I can't check my mail in a red Tee and no pants? :helper:

I ain't afraid of Smurf. He's a gentleman and a scholar from way back in the Harmony Central days when he had a woman, made strange instruments and was best friends with The Floydian and Mr Wes Powell
