Has anyone actually drank an entire bottle in one night?

I'm mostly a beer or sipping-on-high-quality-Scotch guy and have been for a very long time.

However, in my youth, on a dare (while already drunk, of course), I drank a full pint of Everclear as a shooter. I wrote up a somewhat humorous account of the (mis)adventure; maybe I can find it in emails.

There was a time not that long ago, I would get up, Wait for 12:embarrassed:0 and start drinking at a local bar. By 5:embarrassed:0ish I'd go to another bar and drink until 1-2am.

I'd do that for a few days when I didn't have my kids with me. I literally thought about just trying to drink myself to death. My kids would come to the house for a few days and I'd stop as I didn't want them seeing me that way. That was probably the only thing that saved me.

They left and the cycle would start over agian. It affected my friends, my work and definitely myself. Think there was some pretty stupid posts from me on here back then.

When people offer me vodka today, I them I'm allergic.

I'm VERY careful regarding anything alcohol related that goes into my system. I'll also say that I had help to reset my priorities and get me back down to a more stable well being.

And here I am stuck with 12pack for an alias...:annoyed:
Good for you , well done. Got a lad recovering from crack. Hope he can be as strong.

Two weekends ago. I didn't quite finish the 750 mL, but I drank other stuff beyond that. I didn't set out to do it, but I was at a music festival and had all day to do it. I had a mild headache the next day, but I was dehydrated besides the drinking. I was a bit disorganized that night--someone came up to the band and said how cool our version of "Bohemian Rhapsody" was the night before, and I wondered how they pulled it off without me. Turns out I was there, singing lead.

Not that I know of, but had some bad experiences, 3 to be exact at parties with grain alcohol punch, let's just say they ended early, never puked, but each carried a several day, wish I could die hangover that I never want to experience again. I'd like to think in one instance, divine intervention saved my ass.

I tried to put down a pint of George Dickel one time. I got between 2/3 to 3/4 through. Then I sat on the curb of the hotel where our function was, in my suit, and swore gloriously at anyone that came near to try and help. Puked some time later.

So, never succeeded in draining a bottle. Not going to try now. Except maybe an airplane bottle or two.

I've had a bottle of Dickel 12 open for a year or two. Still good. :embarrassed:

I think the most I've had was somewhere around 2/3-3/4 of JD. I have high tolerance as far as getting ripped but low tolerance as far as holding a lot of liquid in my stomach. I don't understand how people can drink a 12 pack in one sitting.

I really only ever did that in and around college and law school. And even then, it was hard to do 12 beers. Even if it was just our "Dead Soldiers Club" where we tried to drain a half rack of 11 ounce "Beer Beer" (the generic beer that existed at that time). I once drank about a beer a whole for an entire round of golf. But walking was involved. That was NOT good. But again, I was in my 20's. Glad I don't do that anymore.

Even when I was a hard-drinking guy in my early 20s I don’t think I could have consumed an entire bottle of liquor in a night. I got monster drunk and had some blackouts, but putting back a whole bottle would have killed me.

Now I can’t do more than two fingers of whiskey without getting sick. Which is probably a good thing.

Yah, me neither. Well, I guess I can drink two fingers. but that is about it.

When my brother in law comes over on a Saturday afternoon to stay the night, play tunes, bbq, etc.,he brings a twelve pack and a six pack. Not very often are there any left when he leaves on Sunday morning.. Our beer is typically 5% too..

I cannot do that anymore. Be good to yourself.
