What to do with tequila?

Poor old Geordie's array...
I was gifted a bottle by my brother in law from the distillery he works at.

It seems like quite a nice bottle bit I cannot drink tequila after a stupid drinking game as a student - if I can smell or taste it in the slightest, I won't drink it.

Big ask but can you think of any cocktail recipes (or even food) using tequila that
I could use it for?

Weve got rum, vodka, tonnes of gin and whisky and a bunch of other liquers so I'm thinking long island ice teas but I'm up for anything else.
 
I'm the same way, got stupid drunk on it when I was like 18...the cheap Jose Cuervo stuff and it ruined me. I never desire to be anywhere near it ever again. The best use would be as fuel for a bon fire, toilet bowl cleaner or if you must cooking and the only thing i could think of is tequila lime shrimp. i've never had it's what came to mind.

Grapefruit soda isn't something you really get here but I suppose I could substitute it for san pelligrino lemon or blood orange or something like that.

I think grapefruit soda is a specialty item just about everywhere.
 
I made sime vaguely long islamd iced tea inspired drinks last night and could still taste it.

Think it's going to need to be recipes afyer all.

This IS nice stuff and the smell doesn't give me horrid flashbacks and make me gag but it's still not my thing.
 
My buddy ordered me a shot of tequila and tomato juice at about midnight on my 21st. Puked so much.

I do ok with tequila as long as that’s all I drink. It’s a fun buzz, kind of giddy like saki or champagne. Tequila shots on top of other stuff doesn’t go as smoothly.

Yeah, every tine I drive past the local land fill I smell that stuff and have horrid flashbacks. I'm not even sure I won the drinking game :embarrassed:

This is Agave which according to my cocktail bible is good stuff. It's not making we want to wretch or vomit but it's still not my cup of tea.
