Looks like that may be HC's fate as well. HCWSOD when I tried to go there today.

Sometimes fresh starts are a good thing.

Hopefully they backed everything up. It's one thing for a small site like LR or myself to make a mistake like that but one run by a big company should be super redundant in their backing up....

From what I heard, search will not be working initially so they can make sure everything is ok, then when they know all is well, search WILL be added.

Also, supposedly no history of posts is supposed to be lost.

If they are doing the normal vBulletin upgrade then they'll just be using the same database with no changes, so it should be where it left off.

I just looked and it'll probably be pretty soon before the forums are back up, I think...
