Speaking of bound teles... Hot or Not?

I'll graduate college in May. I'm thinking of buying myself one of these as a graduation present in surf green or black. Yay! or Nay...

Surf green! Surf green!

Cool. Not a bad price either. And hey, down the road, you can throw on a Warmoth neck or something to make it a bit less "cheap" looking and feeling.

Why not? Go for it.

All of my Xavieres needed a fret level and setup when I got them. But once they are set up they are great guitars. I own 4. The surf green is hot.

Bound tele always gets by the velvet rope.
Unless they're known pedophile bank executives. (That's redundant, I know, but...)

The only thing I like better than a bound Tele is a naked woman. I can't get enough of either one.

wait, how can a Warmoth neck make it less "cheap" looking? ???

not a fan of the surf green. i vote black.

I frigging love that surf green. The real answer is take that pic to your local G&L dealer and have them make an ASAT Classic with natural wood binding in that color.

And....the trap is set!

The guitar is OK. I've never played a Xaviere, so I can't really comment on it one way or the other quality-wise.

not digging the yellow binding. and any bound tele should have a rosewood neck.

They have a rosewood version, and while I'm not opposed to rosewood I like maple better on teles and starts. Depends on what the necks feel like, I might replace it down the road or just sand the headstock down to a better shape. I'm thinking eventually a duncan little 59 in the bridge or a tone zone and a duncan hot tele in the neck. Here's the black one.

I like the black one way better.
Either way, it's hard to beat a good tele.
And then you have something to defend your family with, too, so it's like a twofer.

see why get a black one when you can get a squier cvc? the main advantage to squier is they are US Fender spec-so all parts are easily swapped.
