Amp of the Day 6-22-10 5e3 Tweed Deluxe

It's very difficult to not like a good 5E3 based amp. I have a Richter clone with NOS tubes and it's way good IMO. Here's a Richter 5E3 clip that I like a lot. Everyone should own one IMHO. Many great tones in these tweed amps with or without pedals. If you view this clip on You Tube, Tim...

    The USPS CAN BITE ME.

Mark, I ship USPS daily, well I did before the economy took a dump, and purchase everything on line to eliminate the issue of waiting on goofy people, on both sides of the counter, at the post office. Most of my postage is thru PayPal but on occasion I buy it from the USPS online. Especially...

Amp of the Day - 1962 VOX Ac30

I am very slightly acquainted with John Jorgenson, via my GF who is great friends with JJ's wife. John played with the Desert Rose Band, The Hellecasters, Elton John, and was a big influence on Brad Paisley for those not familiar with him. He's into Gypsy Jazz now. He was a big AC 30 fan...

Amp of the Day - Richter 5e3 test with clips and pics from me!

Yes , great amps indeed. If you get a chance to make another clip using the settings above, everyone will really appreciate what a bargain Sara's amps are. Give it a try and I guarantee it will be completely different than the tone of your previous clip. Nice playing on that clip BTW...

Amp of the Day - Richter 5e3 test with clips and pics from me!

Plug into the #4 input set that (3/4) volume to about 5/6, set vol 1/2 to 1/2 and tone to about 6/7. The vol and tone controls are very interactive and you have to play around a little until you figure out how everything works.

Mrs. P ordered me a Turbo Tuner stompbox.

I like mine just fine.........once I got used to using it......of course it's just at home not at any gigs. It's extremely well made.

So school me on connecting my pedals to my pedal board

Instead of the "wood screws" mentioned in the link, I would recommend "pan head sheet metal screws" Stainless for a nice appearance. Drill the holes in your board to match the root diameter of the screws, not the overall diameter of the threads. I think you would be OK just using 2 attachment...

Seriously wondering if I should even continue playing guitar at this point...

All you young whippersnappers need to get a grip.;) I started at 63, almost 3 years ago, and still can not play much. I have taken private lessons from a couple of different "instructors/players", bought all kinds of DVD courses, etc, etc. Sounds like some of you know the drill. I have...

Name the one piece of gear you would take in the lifeboat

If there was a good chance of rescue, I would grab my strat. If expectation of being stranded on a deserted island was more likely, I would grab my reso. Of course this is after helping the GF into the lifeboat :-]

    A-Rod admits steroids usage....

No, actually they established how wide spread the problem was in MLB. MLB could no longer just look the other way after that first wave of testing. I will admit all this should have been done many years before 2003. 2 minutes late, I see........
