What movies have you watched in the last few days?

Ghostbusters 2. I'm not saying self isolation has made me hit the green but Mrs JBJ slapped me for getting the giggles at some random part of the movie :embarrassed:

I rewatched Quarantine last night. It is a scene for scene reshoot of a Spanish film named REC. It is a delightful and terrifying horror flick. I highly recommend it. Horribly inaccurate virology, but it is a horror flick so.....

I also watched another Spanish movie on Netflxi called the Platform. It was decent dystopian scifi.

I did enjoy Contagion a lot but as you say, it's almost a shot for shot remake. REC and REC 2 are also highly recommended if you don't mind subtitles, IIRC the second one might even be better.

Itsbeen 25 years since the last time. Coogabs Bluff.

I found the editing and soundtrack kinda painfully annoying, but a 10-year-old documentary about the 2010 Western States 100 race (which was a really good one) was just recently released for free on youtube.

I watched a documentary on Jawbreaker that was pretty cool. Also watched the Jay and Silent Bob reboot.

I don't normally watch much "late night" sort of stuff, but some of the stuff self-isolating talk show peeps have been doing is downright charming

This is great. I have watched it maybe 4 or 5 times.

It is extremely revealing, triumphant, heart breaking yet encouraging all at the same time. I don't know what it would be like for someone who was never at all into bodybuilding but for me...wow.

When I was 11 years old I asked for some weights and my parents got me a set of 10 pound dumbells for Christmas. There was a picture of Ben Weider and Arnold Swarzenegger on the box as well as a chart with some exercises to do. 2 or 3 years later I asked for a full set of weights and started a more complete regime that would build myself, not only physically but also instill discipline, determination, will, drive, confidence. It was really pivotal. When I was 15, I could play sports with people who were 17 and I would be the most outstanding player on whatever field it was.

I have made it into my 50s and still work with free weights, and other forms of resistance training. I would imagine that the longest stretch of time that I have gone through in my life without working out from the time that I got those first weights would be about a year. I am not sure that I would have tried steroids at some point in my life but I am sure that when I read Lyle Alzado's feature/confessional in Sports Illustrated that was the moment that it was decided that I definitely would not.

Anyway...I just had to ramble...great movie...LIGHT WEIGHT BABY!!
