He’s not someone I really ever listen to, and yet I feel like I know pretty much his entire catalogue. While I’m not a big fan, and while I think it’s worth admitting that he wasn’t perfect and that he made his share of duds, he’s definitely the kind of songwriter than I admire most; the consummate craftsman who cared about both the minute details and the big picture. And that produced a ton of terrific songs.
Anyway, though it kinda pains me to admit it, I am a little worried for tompetty. Will be following the Halifax news.
