My neck arrived! Warmoth jazzmaster maple and rosewood. 10-16 radius, big ass fret wire.

Check this out. I have two identical bridges. Hipshot hardtail strat. One is chrome and has a brass .175 base with stainless saddles. The other is black with an aluminum.175 base and stainless saddles. The weight difference is astonishing. Weight displayed in grams. 75 vs 154

Also of note. Hipshot open gear “ultralight” tuners are 2 grams heavier than Hipshot closed case Schaller clone tuners.

I copied my body template onto a sheet of MDF so I don’t mess up the original working with it.
After that, I attached the template to the rough cut blank with the masking tape and super glue method.
After routing, the first body is shaped!

Today’s business. Getting this chunk of African mahogany prepped to become two necks. One is going on my P90 build. The Warmoth neck went on to Foo. The bass I was gonna make for him has morphed into a double humbucker hardtail.

Yeah, it's not. I drew up quite a few of both types before I decided on two, and then made small adjustments over about a week.
