An ad was posted on my local craigslist featuring these pictures:
It looks really cool but I can't find any info about it, which scares me.
Any idea what this is you guys?
Funny enough, there's a video on youtube of a concrete guitar.
The sound was a little muddy, but that was probably the pickups.
What made my jaw drop was the sustain! It was absolutely crazy.
I'd love to have one if nothing else.
Billy G works in mysterious ways.
I actually set my amps in a similar way to his (though I started doing it before I saw this)
Bass on about 7, Mids all the way up, Treble and Presence practically nil.
I find that as long as the bass has the right EQ-ing, it sounds great.
I use a 30 watt head turned on 10, so I hear that just fine.
Our drummer also hits really hard so I hear him okay as well.
Essentially I like a little bit of bass, and a lot of my vocals.
As with most Eastwoods, you'll probably have to replace the pickups.
So I just can't see paying that much for something I'm going to have to modify.
And all the switching looks really cool, but isn't really practical for me (it also makes getting new pickups an even bigger problem!)
The Bad Monkey is a kickass pedal. 50 bucks for a really awesome transparent OD? I'll take that deal any day. It is a tone sucker though. Not true bypass.
Though the new Hardwire Tube Overdrive is essentially the same thing, but true bypass and has a vintage/modern switch.
Supposedly they're legendary overdrive pedals. I tried one once. Didn't really like it to be honest.
It had almost no range in gain (Like turning a pre-amp knob from 5 to 6), and was a pretty poor clean boost as well.
I have no clue why people get their panties in a bunch over these things.
