What movies have you watched in the last few days?

Old westerns. Both were great.

I signed up for britbox on amazon and I've been watching those kinda dumb brit comedies that I remember watching on public television as a young dork. (keeping up appearances, are you being served, etc)

One of my local PBS stations, every Saturday night, has an episode of Still Open All Hours. Good stuff. Also there is one with John Clease that's not so good. Python and Faulty Towers were great.

I watched Under the Skin last weekend. Lots of Scarlett Johansson driving/walking around looking at stuff. A little slow, but pretty good.

Not a movie, but a couple of series of shows I stumbled across on the Smithsonian channel. One is Spy Wars and another is America's Hidden Stories. Both pretty fascinating looks into what went on behind the scenes of all the diplomatic fronts. While nations' leaders are on TV shaking hands, the spys were doing their thing undetected. As someone that lived through the Cold War, I find the stories from that era of particular interest.

I never knew it was the U.S. that was (allegedly) behind the Soviet's Siberian gas pipeline explosion in the 80's. They interview a lot of the guys that were involved in it. There's also a book, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/At_the_Abyss. Quite possibly the first known cyber attack.

I'm watching the first Species film right now. Mid-grade SciFi, but damn Natasha Henstridge looks good in it. She wasn't afraid to do the nude scenes either.

They have Species 1, 2, and 3 on Showtime tonight. I think I'm going to pass.
That's what I'm watching it on. I'm getting Showtime for free through the end of the month as a promotional thing. Their selection of movies is pretty lame. Glad I'm not paying for it.

They gave Species 2.5 stars. Species 2 & 3 both got one star. Sometimes the one star movies are better. So bad that they're good.

The first Species movie could have been good if they'd have just given the creature some self awareness and had her ponder her existence and the meaning of her life.
